ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I have always been an avid reader and fell in love with contemporary romance books long ago. I knew that one day I would write contemporary romance books with some spice to them and this is the perfect time for that. That perfect escape to just unwind and let your mind run wild within a book. There is nothing better than being able to just escape on the couch on a Sunday or on the beach or in a cabin and read to your heart’s content. Raised on the West Coast but settled in the High Desert Valley’s the calming of the mountains and the desert allow me to reach out and touch so many with steamy romance novels. I sincerely hope you enjoy book after book that I am able to bring to you. Be kind to each other, life is shorter than you think. Here's to you always, Kasia

Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests.

My name is Kasia Kain and I came to Northern Nevada for my family that was already here. Hobbies and Interests are kind of on the back burner as I work a full time job and the rest of the time I am bringing you books that I hope you enjoy. I love this town except the snow. I think more so than anything I don’t like having to drive in it because people think they can outsmart it for some reason. You can’t. Put the studded tires on your car please…

When and why did you start writing books?

I only started writing books in June of 2023. I just happened upon something that made me rethink what I was doing (that was basically wasting a lot of free time) so I thought why not? Let’s try it. Here I am with with my books and loving it.

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

It seemed like something I would enjoy. Little did I know how involved it really is once you finish your first book and you need to start showing it to people and get them onboard to your newsletter. That was super challenging. However, with the help of Bookfunnel, Bookclicker, Bluehost and Mailerlite they made it a lot easier and less challenging. Don’t get me wrong that took a lot to learn just those 4 sites not to mention all the other sites since then. But then I stumbled upon Cravebooks and fell in love with their platform. They have made it so easy to promote and keep track of things.

Which one of your books or characters is your favourite?

May favorite character of all time is in the book that I am still working on and going through and making the last touches and edits on. Her name is Julia. She is a Florist owner in a small town and she just has that sass that you fall in love with. His name is Amar and you Fall in Love with him.

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

The hardest book was indeed the longest. Stuck with My Grumpy Playboy Billionaire Casino Owner. Probably because it is a 60,000-word book (I have sworn off of 60k books) and the main reason is because I read from the start once each book is ready for the reader or so I think, to read it 6 times to make sure that all edits are done correctly and everything is good to go. It’s exhausting and 60k word books are just too long for that. I love the 30,000 to 40,000 books which is probably where I am going to remain. Not to say I won’t eventually write another 50k or 60k book but for now I will stick to the 30k and 40k books which I really do enjoy.

Who is your favourite author and book?

My favorite author will make you go what???? Since I love steamy contemporary romance. John Saul…He has been my favorite author for years. The suspense and the mystery of his books. They will always be my favorites. Now as far as steamy contemporary books, well if I didn’t say mine why would you read them?

What book are you reading right now?

So here’s the deal on what I am reading right now. Anything I can get my hands on that has to do with marketing because I truly dislike marketing. Sales and Marketing is something I have never enjoyed but a lot of these sites just charge to much for clicks and all this other stuff. So I am trying to learn this arena but it takes a lot of time. Maybe one day I will be a master Marketer….Or maybe one day they will just bring down the prices so I can do it all within my budget…and then again I might just turn it all over to Cravebooks and let them handle all of it.

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

My inspiration comes from my Trope List which includes the careers I am placing my characters in and the cities and states I put them in as well. That is something I enjoy doing research on for each book and then tying their names to everything as well and then the story behind it just starts to flow.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Spare time! What…In order to do this very expensive hobby I work a full time job. I am a Full Charge Bookkeeper for a company that I have been with for over 11 years. I love what I do there and that enables me to pay for the process from step 1 to step forever on each book.

Do you have any new books in the works?

Oh yes I do…My next book is with my ARC team as I write this and the Julia and Amar book, “The Grumpy Billionaire Jeweler” will be out in February…This simple idea of let’s see how this goes to write a book and get it out there has turned into a passion that I hope never ends and I get to continue to bring the steam to all of my readers…Thank you so much, this has been fun to write up!
