Narrow Escape: The Summerville Massacre

Narrow Escape: The Summerville Massacre

From the ashes of an unspeakable tragedy, a legend is born. Tierra Campos has become one of America’s most prominent journalists. But long before she rose to fame after languishing as a human interest reporter for a local television station, she was an upbeat and driven teenager ready to graduate high school. She had a bright future and was optimistic about her career path. That all changed on a beautiful spring day at Summerville High School. A lot has been said about bullying in America. None of that talk had any impact on making Hatcher Delesandro’s life any better. Tormented at school and abused at home by a drunken stepfather and indifferent mother, he has dreamed of the day he could get his revenge. With one successful combination of numbers, he intends to make that dream a reality. Tierra’s ordeal during the shooting is documented in the first chapter of Justifiable Deceit. However, it was from her perspective and never fully articulated the circumstances and events that led to the mass shooting. Her experience was terrifying but only scratches the surface about the reasons behind the shooting and what events transpired leading up to and during that horrific event. Narrow Escape: The Summerville Massacre is a prequel set a decade before the events depicted in Justifiable Deceit. It follows five people whose lives are on a collision course that will shock the nation and scar them forever. How close did Tierra come to dying that tragic day, and how did things transpire that led to her narrow escape?
