Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests.

After 25 years in the title insurance industry, I retired and accidentally began a new career writing children's books. Of course, my hobbies are my family, grandkids, and cats! Oh, and also, a bit of camping, travel, and archiving family members into movies and photo books.

When and why did you start writing books?

Purely by accident and by inspiration. My first book was the true story of our lost kitty and her three-day adventure!

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

Once I started writing, it became addictive.

Which one of your books or characters is your favourite?

That's like asking a parent to choose their favorite child. Each one is special for different reasons.

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

My third book, 2020: A Cat Odyssey, wast the most challenging because it was non-fiction and i wanted to capture the historical facts of the pandemic, but present them in a positive, light-hearted manner for children and adults.

Who is your favourite author and book?

For children's books, I love Dr. Seuss because of the memories growing up and reading him, which eventually became the inspiration for my own rhyming style.

What book are you reading right now?

Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series.

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

My cats, of course!

Do you have any new books in the works?

Yes, working on a book to help children dream about what they want to do when they grow up!
