When and why did you start writing books?

I began writing in about 2005. I fell in love with books by Le Carré, Daniel Silva and Stieg Larsson and took a writing class in the hope of publishing one day.

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

I am a professional actor and writing keeps me sane when I am not working or auditioning.

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

Book 3 (untitled) After the first two books, writing a third is really hard because you have to spend so much time and energy marketing the first two!

What book are you reading right now?

Imperfect Burials by Thomas Henry Pope

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

My life and experiences learning Russian and serving in the British Army in Gulf War 1, Bosnia, Germany and Russia.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Meditation and road biking.
