Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests.

I live in Texas where I work as a clinical mental health therapist. I enjoy being in the sunshine. I play the violin and ukulele, although I am not that great.

When and why did you start writing books?

I began my first novel, LIGHT of the MAGOS, this past summer 2023. I have always wanted to write books since college, but I never believed that I could. There was always some excuse I was telling myself. As a therapist, I encourage people to have goals and take steps towards these goals. Basically, one day I decided to take my own advice. I found out how fun it is and that I actually can do this.

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

I was sitting in session with a client one day. We were talking about goals and how this person should pursue what he was saying he wanted. I told him to just try. He will either find out he doesn't want to go down this road or he will find out this is a good path. I realized I needed to take my own advice.

Which one of your books or characters is your favourite?

I have published only one. Beau is my favorite character in LIGHT of the MAGOS. He is a cowboy from Texas that fades to school in Ireland. He is never without his cowboy boots and hat. Probably southerners will know what this means only, but his favorite saying is "bless your heart."

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

The current book I am working on, but I cannot reveal title or what it is about right now.

Who is your favourite author and book?

I have always liked The Chronicles of Narnia, and it was the first set of books with magic I was introduced to as a child.

What book are you reading right now?

Confessions of an Illuminati by Leo Lyon Zagami

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

I don't really have anything specific that inspires me. I have a few steps I take when I am trying to think of a new story line.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I write, play my instruments, spend time with family, play with my animals, spend time outdoors, etc.

Do you have any new books in the works?

I am currently writing book one of series with two more ideas waiting to be written.
