Four Dog's Sake

On a hot, humid July 4th evening in Rosedale, Tennessee, a young man is DOA (dead on arrival) at the hospital where Dr. Lucy Ingram works. When questioned later, Lucy recalls the affable young man, Chester Willis, from an earlier visit. The death is pronounced a suicide from an overdose of insulin used to treat his disbetes, but Lucy is unconvinced. The man wasn't the suicidal type. She pushes for a second autopsy and the pathologist finds an injection site which proves that someone else administered the deadly dose. When Chester's father dies a few days later, his will comes into question. Who benefits, now that Chester is dead. The easy answer is his brother, Rick, who is deeply in debt with an expensive fiance. Then there's Brooke, a massage therapist the old man befrinded. Mr. Willis' will has made her a wealthy woman. Sheriff Ben Bradley and Dtective Wayne Nichols are on the case, along with Dory Clarkson (now an Investigator). Ben and Mae are busy with his reelection campaign and their upcoming wedding. Wayne is struggling with dark episodes from his past. Who will solve this one?
