Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests.

I've had a very adventurous life, especially when I was younger. I lived in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Zaire, Thailand, Spain, Greece, England, and Kenya. I currently live in South Carolina.

When and why did you start writing books?

At age 5! As soon as I could put sentences together. I wrote two stories: one about a boy exploring planets; another about a cat that orders a robot version of himself to do all his chores. Great stuff!

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

It's always been there. Can't really explain it. I have to do it or go even crazier than I already am.

Which one of your books or characters is your favourite?

Current short story collection The Man Who Screams at Nightfall is my life's work to this point. 40 years in the making!

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

Dead Tree Tales - A sprawling crime thriller. So many characters to keep track of!

Who is your favourite author and book?

I always wanted to be the love child of Charles Bukowski, George Orwell, and Ernest Hemingway, if that was scientifically possible.

What book are you reading right now?

Back of a cereal box

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

Life!

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Getting lost

Do you have any new books in the works?

Coming 2024?? - Fennigan Crowe
