ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Theo Harris is an emerging author of crime action novels. He was born in London, raised in London, and became a cop in London. Having served as a police officer in the Metropolitan Police service for thirty years, he witnessed and experienced the underbelly of a capital city that you are never supposed to see. Theo was a specialist officer for twenty-seven of the thirty years and went on to work in departments that dealt with serious crimes of all types. His experience, knowledge and connections within the organisation have helped him with his storytelling, with a style of writing that readers can associate with. Theo has many stories to tell, starting with the ‘Summary Justice’ series featuring DC Kendra March, and will follow with many more innovative, interesting, and fast-paced stories for many years to come. Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests.

I enjoy watching sports, especially Formula 1, football, and cricket. Aside from writing I also enjoy watching TV and movies. Taking the dog for its daily walk is also something i enjoy very much. My favourite has to be travelling, especially to Cyprus, a place very close t my heart.

When and why did you start writing books?

I used to read several books a week and got to the point where I started noticing that not all of them were good! I decided to give it a proper go myself a few years ago and the feedback so far has been amazing.

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

It isn't quite a career yet, I hope it does become one soon though! If I can write full time then I would have achieved something on my bucket list, to do just that.

Which one of your books or characters is your favourite?

I have to say the first in the series, 'An Eye for an Eye', where the characters took on a life of their own, and very differently to how I had originally envisaged!

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

Book 6 was difficult as it dealt with the death of a parent and the search for justice after thirty years.

Who is your favourite author and book?

Tolkien and 'Lord of the Rings'. I used to run home from school so I could read a few pages each day.

What book are you reading right now?

I'm reading 'Pretend to be Dead' by Jack Gatland.

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

Real life and memories from being a police officer, striving for justice against the odds.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Watching sport and movies/TV. I also like to paint.

Do you have any new books in the works?

Yes, I am currently writing the next book in the 'Summary Justice' series, book 7, which is provisionally entitles 'Born to Kill.'
