Nosce Te Ipsum

"Nosce te ipsum" means to "To Know Thyself". The aphorism "Know Thyself" was carved on the front of the Temple of Apollo in Pronaos by the Greeks. As a reminder for them to discover their own divine selves, Christians have been taught, instructed, motivated and encouraged to know themselves in a spiritual manner. Though it is often difficult, to know yourself it is an important part of life. To “know thyself” means to find inner peace and purpose; to see oneself as they truly are, through a non-judgmental eye. This self-awareness serves as a reminder of one’s potential for true enlightenment and provides inspiration for life’s journey. To know thyself is to know God. This is because we are created in His likeness
